About College
Shree Narayan Foundation as per the demand of the citizens has constructed a Multi-Speciality Hospital at Saharsa named as Shree Narayan Medical Institute & Hospital.
Lal Devi Nursing And Paramedical Institute is established by Shree Narayan Medical Institute And Hospital, Saharsa, under Shree Narayan Foundation which is a recognized Medical College And Hospital for under graduate (M.B.B.S.) since 2021 and other Nursing-Paramedical courses.
Lal Devi Nursing And Paramedical Institute is attached with parent hospital Shree Narayan Medical Institute And Hospital, Saharsa which is operational with O.P.D.& 750 Indoor Beds since2010.

Anti Ragging Cell
With reference to Indian Nursing Council Circular no. F.No.22-10/2015-INC(AR) dated 22 May 2015 an Anti Ragging Cell has been established to ensure “Ragging Free Zone” as per the guidlines of the INC. Following measures has been taken:
- Taking Anti-ragging undertakings in the form of affidavits duly attested by the selected students and the other by the parent/guardian of the selected students at the time of admission to the institution.
- Form Committees for curbing ragging such as Discipline Committee, Anti-ragging Committee etc. to assist college authorities on menace of ragging.
- Form Anti-ragging squads to conduct regular and surprise checks all around the campus, hostel, class-rooms and other places vulnerable to incidents of ragging.
- Issue Booklets to all the students containing the following details what constitutes ragging, punishable ingredients of ragging, punishments and penalty ragging, names and mobile numbers of the members of the Anti-ragging Committee & Squad, Anti- Ragging Helpline, Wardens of Hostels.
- Instructions to the members of the Anti-ragging Committee as well as other committees to remain vigilant at all hours all around the campus, to conduct surprise checks.
- Conduct anonymous surveys among freshers to check whether the campus is indeed free from ragging.
- Display Anti-ragging slogans, posters, sign-boards etc. to create awareness among the students.
- Keep Complaint Box at various places on the hostels where freshers can drop their grievances.
- Make arrangements for providing facilities for indoor games so that the students can utilize their energy in play. This indeed is showing positive results amongst the students.
Constitute ‘Mentoring Cell’ to oversee and involve senior students and ‘Mentors’ for the ‘fresher’.

What is ragging
Ragging is a practice in collages, hostels and other educational institutes where the senior or an influential person tends to demoralize and defame the juniors through
the means of verbal or physical abuse and harassment.
Punishments for indulging and abetting Ragging
Ragging in any form is a cognizable offence under the law. Exemplary and justifiably harsh punishment to be given to those who found guilty of Ragging and indulgence to ragging. Punishment at the Institution level include:
- Cancellation of admission
- Suspension from attending classes
- Withholding/withdrawing Scholarship/Fellowship and other benefits
- Disqualification from appearing in any examination/evaluation process
- Withholding examination result
- Disqualification from representing in any meet, event, tournament, festival etc.
- Suspension/expulsion from hostel
- Rustication from the institution and consequent disqualification from admission in other institutions
- Collective punishment when the person’s committing/abetting the crime is/are not identified
- Fine of Rs. 25000.00/-
The Anti-Ragging Committee shall take appropriate decision with regard to punishment or otherwise, depending on the facts of each incident of ragging, nature and gravity of the incident.

It is the duty of any student/faculty/staff to report forthwith to the higher authorities using the above mail id/phone numbers, in case if any incident of ragging comes to their notice. Playing a silent spectator’s role in such incidents amounts to indulging in such activities which is also punishable crime under the law

The candidates as well as their parents, at the time of admission of the students to the School will be required to furnish an undertaking in the form of an affidavit that the student shall not participate in any form of ragging, strike etc. If found guilty, the School may take appropriate action against the erring students.
